Old Mondoro

Stay

Old Mondoro offers just five chalets, each blending seamlessly into the landscape and open to the outdoors to maximise views and connection to the wild. Constructed from natural reed and canvas, the chalets are set beneath winterthorn trees on the banks of the Zambezi, and include bathtubs and private decks.

Safari

This is the Lower Zambezi at its rawest – with exceptional wildlife sightings right from camp and daily safaris by vehicle, boat, foot, or canoe. Old Mondoro is famed for its leopard sightings, and the action often starts without leaving your chalet. Guests enjoy flexible, immersive safari days led by highly experienced guides.

Setting

Tucked deep inside the Lower Zambezi National Park, Old Mondoro is set along a maze of wildlife-rich channels and floodplains near the Jeki Airstrip. Its remote positioning ensures a private safari experience where nature dictates the pace and guests are immersed in the rhythm of the bush from dawn to dusk.
